How to Play

Play Math Search online for free. In Math Search, you must find the answers to the operators on the left side of the screen, word search style. Find all the hidden numbers before the timer runs out. Play through 8 stages with a 10-minute timer on each. Start with adding 3-digit numbers & as you advance move up to numbers as long as 5 digits while adding it subtraction, multiplication, & division. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.

Select Help to learn the rules of the game.
Select High Scores to check out the leaderboard.
Use the drop down list on the bottom left corner to pick a game language.
Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
- When you reload the game, you can choose to start over from the beginning or pick up where you last left off.
- You have the option of saving your high score to the leaderboard when you end or finish the game.

    - With your mouse, left click and drag to highlight the number.
    - Touchscreen devices
      - Highlight the numbers on the grid by tapping and swiping on them with your fingers.
      - Controls and indicators
        On the left side is the list of numbers you need to look for.
        On the right side are the following items. From the top, they are as follows:
        Level number
        Timer
        Score
        Buttons (clockwise from left):
        Pause button
        Enlarge button: Lets you switch between full-screen and windowed modes
        Speaker button: Turns the game’s audio on and off
        Music button: Turns the game’s music on and off
        Game Play
        Levels
        Levels are unlocked sequentially. The first level is the only one playable at the start.
        Finish one level to unlock the next one.
        You can replay the levels you’ve unlocked. Likewise, the game will ask if you want to resume from the last level you unlocked if you restart it.
        You are given 10 minutes to complete each level.
        Basic rules
        The game works like a word search but with numbers.
        On the left side of the screen is a menu containing equations.
        Find the answers of these entries on the grid of numbers.
        They can appear horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
        They may even appear in reverse. However, to count, you must highlight each digit in the correct order.
        Numbers can overlap.
        Some answers may appear multiple times in the puzzle. When that happens selecting any instance solves that answer & you do not need to find the other instances.
        Each time you find one, the entry disappears from the menu.
        Find all the numbers before the timer runs out.
        Initially the game starts out with adding together numbers which have at most 3 digits.
        As you advance through the game 4-digit numbers and then 5-digit numbers are included.
        In addition to addition, on later levels you must also add in other arithmetic functions including subtraction, multiplication, & division.
        Some of the division problems can take a bit of work, like 3,339 / 7 = ?.
        Struggling with the time limit?
        While the game is pause it overlays a pause menu over the puzzle part, though the left menu still remains visible, allowing you to solve the equations while the game is paused.
        Players can also take a screenshot of the screen before pausing to see the level contents.
        Scoring
        You earn 90 points for every number you find.
        You also gain 5 extra points for every second left on the counter.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like math and word search games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
